County Engineer
Required to be a licensed civil engineer in the State of Iowa.
Term of employment is set by the Board of Supervisors, not to
exceed three years.
Bond is set a minimum for $3,000.
Powers and duties of the County Engineer:
Direct all construction and maintenance work of the Secondary
Road Department
Develop a Secondary Road Construction Program
Inspect all contracts to confirm they are
executed according to specifications of the
Iowa Department of Transportation
Submit an annual report to the county and state of all road fund
expenditures.
